I build the current head of master from https://github.com/pguyot/einstein. I use the Android Studio project at /android-project following /README.Android.md. I believe updating the Gradle dependency and bumping the compile sdk version was all that was required for it to build and run.
I was just happy to get it running on Android 17 with working handwriting recognition and built in apps. I haven't noticed anything major missing from what I'd expect on a factory reset 2x00, except sound. Haven't attempted to load any packages yet, but messagepad.org <http://messagepad.org/> gave me hope it may be as simple as dropping the pkg in Internal Storage/Download/Einstein.
There was an older build method documented I think in Paul's github that involved the _Build_ directory and heavy use of the NDK. I never got that working. I always ran into issues with the CMakeLists files. It looked like there may have been a refactoring that didn't get fully communicated to the android tree. I think it had to do with REX, which I could never find enough info on to understand fully.

I was mostly asking if I pulled down the new change sets and rebuilt, if the new code would be part of the build and reachable, or if additional work would be needed to include it in the relevant source tree.
