Thanks :)
Claude did most of the work. I just directed it and gave it all the information I could find to help it along.
As for Y2010 bug, I think it found and fixed that as well. I'll have to ask it and see what it says.
For the initial port I told Claude to leave any bugs it found and test against the original system. Once it was stable and had a base line to work with I told it to fix all the known bugs.

Congrats to getting it so far! This is really interesting stuff, seemed
inevitable after all the recent advances, thanks very much for pushing
this through! I tried something similar at the beginning of the year,
but it was still a bit slow going back then so I put it on ice.
Beyond the obvious use case of running NewtonOS on new hardware, this
looks really useful as a development basis for new low level NewtonOS
components for existing hardware, for example my ancient Bluetooth
driver. Having an environment where I could debug the integration with
the existing NewtonOS would be great. The CommTool stack was so far
quite complex to work with, this seems now much easier.
It also seems that Claude found the Y2010 bug :) Maybe you can feed it
the patch
(https://github.com/ekoeppen/NewtonY2010/blob/master/Patch7.s) and
integrate it natively? I think just changing the functions directly
would to the trick, no need for a full patch via the MMU.
Thanks again for the effort!
Eckhart
