Hi Dan,

thanks, I did try all the little tricks, but it did not boot up. I tested continuity in the switch and the power supply voltage and all was fine.

After disassembling everything and measuring each capacitor, putting it all back together, it finally booted. This is nice, but I would much rather have found the problem. I will replce the watch supercap and see if that fixes things for the second Newton.
