The latest version of ATA Support (ATA-Support-1.0.pkg) is free and unlocked. Paul released this version in June 2008.
You just need to install the package using NCX or NCU (or an equivalent tool) — basically, something that can transfer the .pkg as an installer package. The ATA Support .pkg can’t simply be copied and pasted like a simple file.
After that, the installation is fully automatic. The process will ask you to choose a language, and then your Newton will reboot twice. Once those two reboots are done, ATA Support will be properly installed.
Et voilà !
To make sure you have the correct version, the easiest option is to download it directly from Paul Guyot’s website, which he has kept online for a long time at this address:

La dernière version d’ATA Support (ATA-Support-1.0.pkg) est gratuite et déverrouillée. Paul a publié cette version en juin 2008.
Il te suffit d’installer le package depuis NCX ou NCU (ou un équivalent) — bref, un outil capable de transférer le .pkg en tant qu’installation. Le .pkg d’ATA Support ne peut pas être simplement copié/collé comme un fichier ordinaire.
Ensuite, l’installation est entièrement automatique. La procédure te demande de choisir la langue, puis ton Newton redémarrera deux fois. Après ces deux redémarrages, ATA Support sera correctement installé.
Et voilà !
Pour être sûr d’avoir la bonne version, le plus simple est de la récupérer directement sur le site de Paul Guyot, qui maintient cette page en ligne depuis longtemps, à cette adresse :
