[NTLK] Newton 2000 battery terminal

Hi to the List,

Been following the great work being done to prolong the chronological span of Newton, I’d thought I’d salvage my Newt bits from storage…and came across a problem definitely beyond my technical skills!
Inserting the battery tray (with a new load of batteries) yielded no life despite plugging in the power pack kicked it to life.
I thought I’d examine the newt; didn’t detect any oxidisation, so looked down into the battery compartment and found the problem: the tip of the metal battery arm/terminal was missing, and so couldn’t make contact with the plate on the end of the battery tray.
No way I had the skill to sort this out…so I was wondering if there was any way to repair the terminal arm?
