[NTLK] Patch 712000 testing

Eckhart! Wow! I can’t believe you acted so fast!

On my daily-driver 2000 almost worked, it complained of not enough memory so I froze all my packages and made sure there were no cards installed. Next time it got partway, then NCX would hang and after a while the Newt would complain of no response.

My 2100 was a bit more complicated. It turns out I had patch 710031 installed, so I had to remove that first. Good thing you mentioned it in your notes, or I wouldn’t have. But then when installing 712000 it just couldn’t seem to install, either. It would get partway and then NCX would hang. Same as the 2000 the Newton would, after a while, complain there was no response.

I’m sure it’s human error, but anyone have some idea?

P.S., I recently dug out my Powerbook also, and found the battery no longer held a charge. However, after using it on and off for a week or two, the battery started holding a charge again, so you never know! Just needed a little exercise. Maybe yours will revive also.
