After all this talk, I got my MP2X00 off the desk and powered it up.
It started up with the time and date of 6:11 am on July 11, 1997. Upon consulting the 2025 calendar I see the two are a perfect Match.

While I would much prefer that it said 2025; It is what it is. I'm okay with it--at least, for now.

(UPDATE: Now that Eckhart has released his patch, I will be installing it.)
