[NTLK] Need info on To Do items rollover

Hi experts,

ages ago there was a discussion about Newtons and eMates powering on at
night in order to roll over To Do items. The following questions refer to an
eMate.

I dimly remember one or two people claiming that this would eventually
discharge the battery because the machine won't turn off afterwards. I
think, but am not sure anymore, that those people said that after the
rollover it would stay on for as long as is configured in the Sleep
preferences.

At what time of the day does the Newton or eMate start this procedure? Will
it even be triggered after a brainwipe, i. e. if you don't even HAVE To Do
items? Will the display be turned on while the eMate is doing this?
