[NTLK] Connecting a Newton/eMate to SheepSaver or Basilisk II emulators

I am using Baslilisk II and Sheepsaver on the latest Mac OS X. I have the keyspan USA-28xb working on Mac OS 9 on an iBook with the eMate fine. My concern is that there is no modern driver for this adapter.

I have a modern FTDI adapter that works with NCX on a current MacBook Air but there is not driver for Classic Mac OS X. So I am in a bit of a catch-22 situation.

Once you know that the adapter works and how to find the port address of the adapter, you can add BasiliskII in the next step.

There is lots of historical stuff in the list but most of it is very outdated. I have all the physical hardware (USB to serial adapters etc) but can’t seem to get the serial ports within the emulators connecting to Newton devices.
