Thanks so much for the warm welcome Sylvain, and thank you for the additional help with the 3Com card - I did not realize there were multiple chipsets/versions on that card. My first step has been in setting up an old Windows 95 machine for serial communications, so I can start installing packages. Soon I hope to find a compatible PCMCIA Wifi card as well.
