I am updating the UI to create cards form memory snapshots. I will make 
sure to giva much more detailed description of the error that was 
encountered.

The error means that either you CIS file is 0 bytes long (it should be 
4k bytes), or that the start of the file was not as expected. you either 
send me that particular data/cis snapshot pair again? Alternatively, if 
you have a hex editor, can you give me the first 32 byte values of the 
CIS file.
