[NTLK] NewtonTalk Digest, Vol 88, Issue 30

Thanks to everyone that has responded to my plea for help with my eMate 300. I’ve done everything suggested in each of the below responses with no results. The eMate was left unplugged (battery and device) for two days, then plugged in and waited awhile. I then did all the reset procedures but wasn’t getting any signs of life from the eMate. I believe the charger is working but I can’t prove that.

So, my solution is to send this thing to DXH. He graciously volunteered to look at it and fix it if possible. From what I understand, most of you guys are geniuses with these older electronics so I’m turning it over to an expert.

I appreciate all the input and really have tried to get this vintage Apple product to come back to life.

By the way… my collection of vintage Apple products continues to grow. I know it’s a far cry from what some of you are holding on to!

My list:

Apple Powerbook G3 400 Firewire/Pismo (2001)
Apple Powerbook G4 Titanium (2002)
Apple iBook G4 (white) (2005)
Apple MacBook Pro 17 (A1212) (2006)
Apple MacBook Pro 13 (2020)
Apple MessagePad 2100
Apple MessagePad 130
Apple eMate 300
