Yes, I will try that over the weekend. Everything is boxed for moving to 
another "playroom' in July. Hope to find the soldering iron somehow.

Nah, it should be easy. I will have a bunch of breakout boards made for 
the serial port and the modem port for experimenting. Nothing fancy ;-).
