You have a vast stock of it in your kitchen. Just use a flattened tin can. A pair of tin snips, hammer and some patience.

If it's not a stupid question, where does one buy thin sheets of tin these days in the UK (or EU) ?
Some DDG'ing and checking etsy and Amazon haven't been helpful.

If I can get that, going to give this all a go so I can take my 2100 on the road again !
Online print shops are quoting around 20 quid/euros/dollars and looks like a very minor job to then sand/grind down and add in the metal tabs.
