It still starts with the 717006 ROM, just as before. If your patches are up to date (Extras -> i -> Memory Info -> ROM Version = 717260), you are fine.


If you are at a lower version: 

Apple released a patch with bug fixes that upgrades your ROM to 717260. If you want to use the NIE Network, you must install the patch first. 

You must backup your data first, for example into a virtual PCMCIA card. Then go to the Help menu, Install Essentials... . The first Install entry is exactly this patch.

If you wonder why this was not needed before: the y2k10 patch included 717260. A while ago, the time patch became part of Einstein, which was neat, but now a fresh U.S. ROM is missing the 717260 patch.

Sorry for the confusion. I really don't know how to explain this better.
