Thank you both for your replies (Grant and Tom),
I now have written an ANSI C program to convert a netpbm portable bitmap to a V1 PICT file. It seems the only color depth supported is 1.
For connection I have:
* The serial port
* Matthias Melcher's dongle
* Maybe a PCMCIA network card.
But I think the Newtons are too hard for a computer layman like myself to use.
Don't know, if I'll keep them.
