A related update to this tidbit ... I found a published variation of the clock speed for the eMate as well.
So, I added this to the Newton FAQ as another footnote:
“Nearly all official Apple documentation and published specifications for the eMate 300 state the speed of the ARM 710a processor as 25 MHz. However, Apple Service Source erroneously states the speed as 27 MHz. For the record, Frank Gründel’s NewtTest reports the processor speed of a eMate 300 as 24.9 MHz.”
