Hi,

I don’t know what Matthias has ordered, but I replaced the cap (originally a 0.1F 5.5V) with a 0.33F 5.5V that should last three times longer than the original. It’s marginally bigger in diameter, but the same height as the original and it fits perfectly.
I bought a Lumonic Supercap 0.33F 5.5V H-Type (very important the H type, it’s the one that can be soldered flat, having the leads on the top and bottom of the capacitor, facing opposite one another). If you are in Europe, it costs about 5€ including shipping on ebay. I don’t know about USA or other countries, but it should be the same.

There’s a plus sign on the board, indicating where the positive leg of the polarized supercapacitor must be soldered (usually the positive is the bottom one). The capacitor to change is marked C88 on the board.

Hi, what's the part number for this SuperCap?
What's its value, and what's the part number on the motherboard?
And where can I find it online?
That's great news!
