If you mix up dish washing soap (the kind used in hand washing) in a spray bottle (grease cutting kind, Dawn is a good brand here but any will do) and spray them it will kill them. As soon as it hits they fall and start dying and it is a whole lot better than normal pest control methods (less toxic etc etc) not to mention cheaper.
As for how much, just make sure it is really really soapy and works on any bee. At least any that I have tried it on. Honey, hornet, wasp, etc. What I usually do is give it two or three long squirts from the dish soap bottle into a hand-held spray bottle full of water and shake. When it hits, they fall and die quick.
