[NTLK] Darkening spot on Newton 2100 screen

That sounds like vinegar rot aka polarizer pox. The glue binding of the
screen layers decomposes and basically you get this.

Unfortunately, there is no easy solution. Usually you would carefully scrap
the polarizer and replace it, but here you also have the touch layer to
contend with, and those may be more difficult to find.
