"Yes, I implemented that half way. My first approacch was to keept whatever is in the pastebuffer and load that into the Einstein buffer, but then you always have one of those hovering buffers on the side. I don't remember what exactly in the end kept from finishing this."
"I will take another look at that. Simulating keystrokes would be one way.”
Well truthfully whatever else you and all decided to do made the current functionality fairly awesome. Priorities I get it.
But I you do try the keystroke method, or even the hovering side buffer, will be interesting to try out.
"Probably. But NCX does some amazing trickery. The Newton Docking protocol allows the NCX to send scripts that expand the docking capability with new commands. Nobody was afraid back then tht the charging cable could just opload malicious code like they do today :). “
That is what I remember hearing in the “Love Notes to Newton” video. That things were so much more about sharing and not so locked down as they are today. Anyway the flexibility is pretty awesome.

Yes, I implemented that half way. My first approacch was to keept whatever is in the pastebuffer and load that into the Einstein buffer, but then you always have one of those hovering buffers on the side. I don't remember what exactly in the end kept from finishing this.

Probably. But NCX does some amazing trickery. The Newton Docking protocol allows the NCX to send scripts that expand the docking capability with new commands. Nobody was afraid back then tht the charging cable could just opload malicious code like they do today ;-)

I will take another look at that. Simulating keystrokes would be one way.
