I had some luck with moisturiser - Nivea Skin So Soft is a good one (also a great mosquito repellent!). It seems to replace whatever is lost from the coating over time and reduce the tackiness. Worked great on some Parrot Zik headphones Your mileage may vary but it’s worth trying before you nuke it with isopropyl. If nothing else, it will save you from mozzie bites.
