[NTLK] Newton 2000/2100 and NS Basic

Good morning, folks.

While I wait for my 2100 to arrive, I’ve been playing with my previous 2000.
I have NCX 3, and I can connect to it from my 2000 using the Dock.
All the functions are working, but when I try to install a package from the 2000 side, the 2000 does not display the PKG files.
I can look around on my Mac, but anytime I go into a folder that holds some Newton packages, they do not display on the 2000 to be selected.
If I try from the NCX app, I can navigate to folders that have PKG files, and I can see them, but I get an error that the package is not in the right format.

I apologize up front for this newbie problem, but what am I doing wrong?  Please help with advice!
