[NTLK] Newton 2000/2100 and NS Basic

Good afternoon folks,

I have not been here is quite a while. Thanks for having me back.

I just picked up a Newton 2000 with the MP2100 upgrade installed for $200 on eBay.
That price got me the Newton with a rechargeable battery pack, the power pack, the Newton Keyboard WITH the dongle, one PCMCIA dummy, and what looks like a modem card.  The battery pack looks like it has not leaked.

My goal here is to install and run NS Basic.
I read in the NS Basic manual that the first thing one must do after installation is to enter the registration number.  Does anyone have a work-around for this?  Is there a generic registration number available that I can use?  Thanks in advance for any advice or pointers about loading and running NS Basic.
