Well, here's a couple more clues to try to track him down ...

The Bradley Smith who had the user account on the Newted Community site worked at a company called Artisan Software Tools based in the UK. He also posted on the old Planet Newton version of NewtonTalk and the NPDS mailing list using his artisansw.com email addresses back in the early 2000s. Here are the two addresses I found in my email archives, but keep in mind that the artisansw.com domain name is no longer associated with a software company.

bradleys at artisansw.com
bradley.smith at artisansw.com

Digging around on LinkedIn ... this profile looks promising:

https://www.linkedin.com/in/bradley-smith-89bb6364/

His education and experience timeline seems to sync up with the Newton development he did. For example, between October 1996 and October 1998, he listed himself as a “software developer” of “select software tools” involved the “development of reverse engineering strategy” and “writing parsers”.

That sounds an awful lot like his NCU Hack and Notes2Notes packages to me.
