Greetings Liang Yu,
Q: I have a Apple Newton 2000. Recently, the touch screen is not
responding at most of the time. Sometimes it responded for few seconds
and than dead again. Also the position of the touch is also no
accurate when it respond. How can I fix it?
One thought is that your Newton MP2000 might have buildup under the bezel
along the perimeter of the Touch Screen.
I would suggest you could slip a paper business card under the bezel and go
around to see if it can clear out any dust or other stuff that might have
gotten underneath which is causing problems for the touch screen
recognizing taps/placement of the stylus.
Another method would be to remove the exterior shell (the front bezel) and
clean the bezel and the touch screen. Hopefully this will help your
Newton's condition. This is not a sure fire solution but if I recall
correctly is one of the possible issues with the touch screen.
God bless,
