Hi Newtonians,
I’ve been a member of this list and devoted Newton fan since ~2004, so I hope it’s okay to share this here.
My wife and I are the co-founders of The Retro Roadshow <https://www.retroroadshow.org/>, which has become the San Francisco Bay Area's premier hands-on pop-up museum of vintage technology. We're excited and honored to be partnering with the Santa Clara County Library District for some fun, educational, and free events as part of their excellent "Silicon Valley Reads" program in March.
These events are free to attend and do not require advance registration, but seats will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Here’s a quick summary:
The Retro Roadshow Presents: Tales From The Orchard
First showing: March 15th, 2pm - 5pm at Cupertino Public Library - details here <https://sccl.bibliocommons.com/events/67733b18cb66923d0038cc06>
Second showing: March 30th, 2pm - 5pm at Milpitas Public Library - details here <https://sccl.bibliocommons.com/events/67733b1c74596c36004e6558>
First, embark on an interactive journey through the history of Apple and several notable related companies, with a special focus on their most intriguing, influential, and overlooked products.
Following the presentation, immerse yourself in a hands-on experience with a variety of functional vintage computers, including classic Apple II and Macintosh systems, a stunning NeXT Cube, an ultra-rare BeBox, General Magic & Newton devices, and more.
We’re hard at work prepping a bunch of rare and noteworthy hardware for the hands-on portion of the events - as of now we intend to feature an Original MessagePad, a Newton 120, a Newton 2100, and an eMate. We’re working really hard to make these events as awesome as possible, and we'd love to see some NewtonTalk folks there - please be sure to say hi if you come!

PS In addition to the events listed above, we’re also doing a Nintendo-themed event - a guaranteed good time for folks of all ages:
The Retro Roadshow Presents: Mario Through The Ages
March 22nd, 2pm - 5pm at Morgan Hill Public Library - details here <https://sccl.bibliocommons.com/events/67733b1acb66923d0038cc08>
First, delve into an interactive presentation tracing the evolution of video game art and science through the lens of Nintendo’s iconic “Mario” character. Subsequently, immerse yourself in a nostalgic gaming experience, as you explore a range of classic video game consoles featuring nearly five decades of Mario-centric games.
