[NTLK] Trying to restore MP2001 from old .nbku backup failing

Hi there,

Hoping someone here might have a few suggestions or some experience of this issue.

I have three old .nbku backup files (two for PCMCIA cards and one for the MP itself) from an old version of NCX which I wanted to restore to my recently revived MP2001.

I tried NCX 3 in Monterey but NCX said it couldn’t read/open the .nbku files.

Using The Wayback Machine I hunted down NCX 1.2, 1.4, 2.0.4 and I had 2.2 and 2.3 to hand as well.

Using 1.4 I was able to restore the two PCMCIA cards but the device restore again failed in all versions (could not open file).

I’ve gone into OS9 but NCU seems to have a different file format for backup files and does not recognise the .nbku file.

I’d like to restore my MP to what it was, apps installed, backdrop setups, personal info, etc …have I missed something with the MP device .nbku file; some setting or secret way for NCX to open/read it? Or is there a way to convert the .nbku file to the NCU format?
