[NTLK] Error with Sony power adapter SCP-114

There is a well-documented history regarding the fragility of the
MessagePad & eMate hardware having _very_ strict power requirements, as
Pawel has described. There are some details in the Newton FAQ, including
your new suggestion of the Sony adapters:

Pawel is correct that anything more than 7.5V is extremely risky for the
Newton power circuitry and because many devices are more forgiving with
fluctuations, third party adapters are prone — if not likely — to
temporarily spike above 7.5V.
