[NTLK] OMP Newton 100 no sound

Hi,

I picked up another OMP Newton 100 on Facebook Marketplace.  It has a nice screen and a beautiful leather wallet, what a nice bag.  But it has no sound.  I replaced the one  100µF 4V  replaced with a 16V 100uF, and it didn’t fix the sound.  I then saw the battery area (the cover) had old battery corrosion.  I cleaned it up, as well as the speaker (looked like it leaked into it).  Would the battery corrosion have damaged the speaker?  Is there a way to test that, or replace the speaker?  I wanted to ask as I tried using another speaker (just soldering it when the red and black wires go int the board), but that didn’t work either.  Maybe the sound is just damaged on the motherboard?  Thoughts?
