AA batteries are 14500 size and those exist in a variety of chemistries and manufacturers, if you want to stick with a cased battery rather than the spicy pillows.

I would be interested as well - my biggest stumbling blocks in using my MP more are the terrible aged screen, and the rate at which it gobbles batteries. This would at least fix half the issues.
