I was able today to download my iCloud email directly to MailV in Einstein by installing Paul Guyot’s mbedtls-NewtonOS port. 

I set the size limit so it wouldn’t kill itself on the bigger emails, but everything downloaded satisfactorily to my inbox.

This is something I've wanted to try for a while but haven’t had time. I haven’t been able to send an email yet, but I’m still figuring out how to add certificates for iCloud, and I’m not sure I have all the settings correct. 

This is a pretty big deal for me, since I’ve always wanted my Apple email on my Apple device. Next step is to figure out the whole process, get sending working, and then maybe try it on a hardware Newton. 

Has anyone else had this working? I'm a bit short on time, but would anyone else be interested in a short video explaining the process once it’s done? My stretch-goal is to be able to email photos from my Epson camera, imported into Tibet, and mailed using Mail V.
