Hi Frank,

I did the quick research and confirmed with Japanese Newton user: There is NOT any Japanese ROM for Newton. The Japanese user interface is provided by UniFEP software.

Here is the translation from links that Grant provided: 'By installing this system software on your Apple MessagePad 130, you will be provided with an environment where you can input and display Japanese on the MessagePad 130. UniFEP 2.0 (developer: NFO Co., Ltd.) and Japanese fonts are required to input Japanese.’
