[NTLK] Einstein on M1

Hello Steven and Fellow Newton Users,

Those are some pretty impressive numbers for sure.

I wanted to take up your 'challenge' to see what the NewtTest numbers are on my MessagePad 2000 and 2100. I downloaded NewtTest from https://www.pda-soft.de/newttest.html and installed it on my MessagePad 2000.

When I launch NewtTest app and tap 'i' > About I get NewtTest 1.0 - not 1.1i shown in your screen captures. I also don't see 'Test Type: Speed'.

What am I doing wrong or when can I get the 1.1i version of NewtTest if not PDA-Soft.de?

Cheers,
Alan

    Hey all,

So I built the latest and greatest Einstein for Apple's new M1 chip and, um, if I'm reading this correctly, it appears to run _7x_ faster than on Intel... Over 53,000 loop iterations/sec in NewtTest.

The M1 machine is a MacBook Air (!) and the Intel machine is an iMac Pro (!)

What value does this test produce on an actual Newton? :D

    Steven
