I have the power supply of your dreams easy to find!
Sony SCPH-114 (220-240V) with 230V connector for continental Europe.
There is also the Sony SCPH-112A (100-240V) .
You have the Sony SCPH-115 (220-240V) with the UK plug. 
This is the same dimensions as the Apple Newton 9W Power Adapter connector.
Advantage it is angled, so less fragile for the eMate 300.
It is 7.5V and 2A in power with the "+" in the center. So it will heat less !
And with a ferrite on the cable to avoid that the parasites go back to the Newton.
I've been using one for a month, it's more efficient than the original one!
It recharges the battery better... I've been an electronics engineer for 44 years.

j'ai l'alimentation électrique de tes rêves facile à trouver !
Sony SCPH-114 (220-240V) avec le connecteur 230V pour l'Europe continentale.
Il y a aussi la Sony SCPH-112A (100-240V)...
Tu as la Sony SCPH-115 (220-240V) avec la prise UK. 
C'est les mêmes dimensions que le connecteur Apple Newton 9W Power Adapter.
Avantage il est coudé, donc moins fragile pour l'eMate 300.
Il fait 7,5V et 2A en puissance avec le "+" au centre. Donc il chauffera moins !
Et avec une ferrite sur le câble pour éviter que les parasites remontent au Newton.
J'en utilise une depuis un mois, elle est plus performante que l'originale !
Elle recharge mieux la batterie... je suis électronicien depuis 44 ans.
