Hello Eric,

Welcome to the list! I’m still fairly new to the NewtonTalk list also. 

I agree with the suggestions about NCX 3 for installing packages and making backups.

I also recommend Pawel’s suggestion of the FTDI cable (USB to RS232).  I have a UGreen cable and it works well on modern Macs like the 2015 iMac and 2020 M1 MacBook Pro. 

Thanks for sharing the info about Claris Organizer. It’s on my list of things to play with next.
