[NTLK] [OT] Off-topic: financial/economic issues

Uh...I hope the "Ed" you're referring to isn't *THIS* Ed (Tech_ed).
I have nothing to do with this...and I agree...it sounds like spam disguised as a rambling manifesto with poor grammar and a flurry of flair words used for the sole reason of getting a rise out of the reader. While I agree with what it says, nothing beats gold when it comes to investments, the delivery of this diatribe is a bit abrasive and rather alarmist. If this were from me, I would have been far more eloquent than this chap...

Sounds like an ad to get us to buy gold.
With all due respect--I skimmed over it, and it almost reads like spam. If Ed didn't have such a good reputation here, I'd dismiss it immediately.
It's not that I completely disagree with its message...just the style and appearance of it.
"The idea that Bill Gates has appeared like a knight in shining armour to lead all customers out of a mire of technological chaos neatly ignores the fact that it was he who, by peddling second-rate technology, led them into it in the first place." --Douglas Adams
